Job summary

North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs, ensure DOT compliance and promote a culture of safety across projects. You will conduct trainings, perform audits, and collaborate with management to improve safety performance and incident prevention.

The role requires 5+ years in safety management, strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA/EPA regulations, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor-level degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in large-scale commercial, government, construction industries; railroad preferred.
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, and 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Plan, implement and conduct safety, environmental health programs and training.
• Provide guidance on health and safety for projects and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations.
