Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering with 3 years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination.
• May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
• Knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Apply intermediate engineering and planning techniques to transportation and crossing safety projects.
• Assist in procurement and administration of grants and studies.
• Represent rail mode in highway scoping processes and related decisions.
• Write and review technical letters, reports, and design provisions to ensure compliance.
