Job summary

Amtrak in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled engineer/production coordinator to provide technical, operational, and project coordination support for planning and execution of engineering production and construction activities.

You will monitor field operations, coordinate resources, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver production programs in a 24/7 operating environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
  • 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in railroad operations and regulatory compliance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor field operations and construction to ensure safety, procedures, and regulations; identify improvements.
  • Oversee production and construction projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Perform inspections and QA/QC to verify compliance with FRA rules and standards.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, track access and stakeholders for efficient execution.
  • Analyze field conditions and progress to recommend solutions improving safety and asset performance.
