Job summary

BNSF Railway in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Conductor Trainee - Primary Recall. This entry-level role trains you to manage train operations, signals, switching, and safety procedures while supporting the Transportation department.

Position is full-time with on-call duties, travel in the seniority region, and a company-paid training program including on-the-job and classroom instruction.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.
• Ability to travel as required within the seniority region.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information, monitor daily work, and operate equipment and brakes.
• Switching: operate track switches and derails and verify alignment.
• Inspect trains and equipment, determine train makeup, report track conditions.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under diverse weather and conditions.
