Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Rail Operator to safely operate and maintain rail equipment, track, and switches in Utah. You will ensure the safe transfer of crude oil and products to and from tank cars, trucks, and railcars in compliance with DOT and company policies.

The role starts with an hourly wage of $28.75 and offers opportunities for growth within a large, award-winning organization. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current/valid driver’s license required.
• Communicate (written and verbal) in English.
• Basic math and PC skills.
• Knowledge of CFR-DOT regulations pertaining to shipment of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of transloading, rail terminal, railcar mover/locomotives.
• Knowledge of AAR and FRA standards, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operations of Utah assets protecting employees, the public, the environment, company assets and customers’ assets.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading equipment and work areas.
• Document pre- and post-railcar loading inspections and transfer data accurately.
