Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs LS&I Rail Operations in Negaunee, MI is seeking a Section Manager Operations to lead safe, efficient rail operations and a high-performing team. Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years railroad experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead by example and coach talent.
• Experience in a union environment.
• GCOR qualification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Direct safe, efficient rail operations and compliance.
• Coach and develop the operations team and manage performance.
• Oversee safety programs and prevent accidents.
• Investigate rule violations and determine corrective action.
• Develop and achieve production targets while complying with regs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Provide field leadership across shifts.
