Job summary

CPKC, North America’s first transnational railroad, invites you to join as a Trainmaster in DeQueen, Arkansas. You will deliver efficient movement of traffic within yard and road territory, developing and coordinating the daily operating plan in a safe, cost-effective manner.

You will lead by example to build a strong safety culture, coach Train & Engine staff, supervise operations, and ensure LOSP/OP adherence while maintaining compliance with CROR/GCOR as applicable throughout the terminal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in logistics or operations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Railway experience as conductor is required; locomotive engineer qualification is an asset.
• Read and understand safety instructions in English and follow regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook/Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise yard and road movements to meet LOSP/OP targets.
• Oversee train movements in yard and mainline with safety oversight.
• Accountable for safety, service, productivity and terminal metrics.
• Lead safety compliance and coach Train & Engine staff.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Operate trains when required and maintain necessary certifications.
