Job summary

The Watco conductor/engineer position will control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards, plants, or terminals to service customers safely and efficiently.

This manual labor role requires following procedures, reading switching orders, and adhering to railroad rules during shifts. Training will be provided at Watco's Safe Performance Center and through on-the-job instruction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Ability to pass training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and switching.
• Maintain attendance and follow directions.
• Read switching orders and signals.
• Communicate with crew via radio.
• Inspect locomotive after runs.
