Job summary

Compass Rail Services LLC is seeking an Area Manager to oversee up to four RRA locations across MA and PA, leading 2–4 crew members per site. You will drive onboarding, safety training, and regulatory compliance while ensuring efficient inspections of rolling stock and adherence to timetable goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating with health & safety, quality teams, and other departments to sustain 100% car flow and profitability, with occasional overnight travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Oversee up to 4 locations with 2–4 crew per site.
• Lead onboarding and training for new railroad inspectors.
• Maintain safety standards per AAR/FRA/OSHA guidelines.
• Coordinate across locations with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspection, maintenance and repair of rolling stock across sites.
• Schedule crews to maximize site profitability and car flow.
• Ensure site safety training and SDOP updates at each location.
• Coordinate with directors of Health & Safety, Quality and other departments.
• Manage MRU call-outs and travel as needed.
