Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to deliver information.

Responsibilities

• Handle and identify material in receiving, issuing, shipping, and storing operations
• Maintaining material inventory and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the position
• Recognize and reduce inventory error; accuracy is crucial for inventory management
• Prepare documents and process data for materials received, stored, issued or shipped in applicable systems
• Operate highway vehicles, lift trucks, tractors, cranes and other equipment for material handling
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and meet regular target dates
• Ensure compliance with railroad safety rules, FRA regulations, and operations procedures
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers to resolve issues
• Develop positive working relationships and handle disagreements professionally
