Job summary

RTD - Regional Transportation District of Denver, CO (RTD) seeks a rail maintenance trainer to deliver classroom, field, shop, and hands-on instruction across rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance.

You will develop course materials, conduct evaluations, and document outcomes in the LMS, collaborating with maintenance leaders to ensure safety, compliance, and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience delivering/training rail maintenance.
• Experience in safety-sensitive transit environments.
• Ability to develop and deliver training materials and assessments.
• Knowledge of FRA/FTA/OSHA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, field, shop, and hands-on training for rail maintenance personnel.
• Develop, prepare, and deliver course materials and assessments.
• Maintain training documentation in the LMS and other systems.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching to ensure competency.
• Coordinate logistics for training events and field activities.
• Ensure training spaces and equipment are safe and ready for instruction.
