Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator 1 to operate, maintain and repair railroad maintenance equipment in a demanding, 24/7 environment.

This role may involve on-track operations or vehicle use with supervision, across various platforms to meet business needs and demands. The MO1 will perform inspections, document field reports and expenses, and follow safety processes while supporting maintenance decisions and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ Years Demonstrated technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operations.
• 2+ Years Demonstrated ability to learn communicate verbally and in writing and learn best practices.
• Internal: 3+ Months Experience with Loram equipment or equivalent in a 24/7 environment; Some Excavator experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings during operations and maintenance shifts.
• Inspect machines, report defects and assist in maintenance decisions.
• Record parts used and complete daily field reporting and expense documentation.
• Operate Loram on-track equipment and related vehicles with supervision.
