Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Machine Operator 1 to operate and maintain on-track maintenance and inspection equipment. You will perform inspections, document parts used, and complete field reports while following safety processes.

This role requires strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic know-how, a valid driver’s license, and railroad certifications; pre-employment checks are required. Travel is extensive.

Qualifications

• External: 2+ years demonstrated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operation skills.
• Internal: 3+ months experience with Loram equipment in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Loram on-track MOW equipment and/or on-track vehicles.
• Conduct machine inspections, report defects, and assist maintenance decisions.
• Accurately record parts used and complete daily field reporting and expenses.
• Follow safety procedures, lead job briefings, and maintain on-track safety.
