Job summary

Smart Sand, Inc. is seeking team members for the Logistics Utility role at our Blair, WI facility. The position involves loading finished sand into railcars per MSHA safety standards, inspecting railcars, and assisting with yard operations under the Logistics Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Conductor certification or 1-year rail yard experience with switching.
• Proficient in computer operations.
• Able to troubleshoot issues in Load Outs.

Responsibilities

• Works with Locomotive Operator on hopper car spots and movement.
• Inspects hopper car for product loading and contamination.
• Loads hopper car according to loading procedures and safety standards.
• Receives and transmits information by radio and telephone.
• Secures loaded hopper cars and ensures no leaks.
• Assists with railcar inspections and unloading of railcars.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
