CSX is hiring a Freight Conductor to coordinate train crews and manage car makeup in yards and facilities. You will follow FRA rules, inspect equipment, read bulletins, operate switches, and service customers with accurate freight movements.

New hires undergo four weeks of paid training in Atlanta, with hotel provided and per diem meal allowances; relocation within 50 miles may be required. Eligible for CSX bonuses and overtime opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• One year of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend operating rules and bulletins.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate train crews and ensure safety per FRA rules.
• Inspect equipment before departures and read bulletins.
• Receive and transmit information by radio/phone.
• Operate switches and assist with car makeup.
• Ensure accurate car movement and excellent customer service.
• Adhere to signals, train orders, and safety procedures.
• Work with yardmasters and discuss instructions with locomotive engineer.
