You will translate designs into clear instructions, collaborate with engineers and field teams, and produce visuals with CAD coordination, ensuring compliance with FRA, AAR, and safety standards.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s or associate degree, 3–5 years of technical writing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in business, technology, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and technical writing experience will be considered.
• 3–5 years’ experience in technical writing or documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operator manuals, maintenance manuals, and parts manuals.
• Translate engineering designs, specifications, and procedures into clear instructions for end users.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and field personnel to gather technical information and validate content accuracy.
• Create and manage illustrations, diagrams, and supporting visuals with CAD/graphics coordination.
• Ensure documentation complies with FRA, AAR, and safety guidelines.
• Update documentation to reflect engineering changes and field feedback.
• Support development of training materials and user guides for operators and technicians.
• Review and edit documentation for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.
• Coordinate document releases with product launches and change processes.
• Participate in design and production reviews to understand product functionality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for documentation quality and usability.
• Performs additional job-related duties and special projects.
