Job summary

Kershaw Equipment LLC, located in Montgomery, AL, is seeking an Engineer II to support mechanical and hydraulic architecture across product lines. You will collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and systems engineers to deliver integrated, optimized solutions and maintain BOMs, specs, and documentation.

The role requires 2–5+ years of mechanical‑hydraulic experience, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and strong skills in MS Office, Inventor, AutoCAD, and ERP/MRP software.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of mechanical‑hydraulic systems experience for off‑road, construction, rail, or forestry equipment is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD, PDM/ERP/MRP software.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and hydraulic related architecture design for all product lines in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Diagnose and solve problems related to hydraulic and/or mechanical systems to support production.
• Develop catalog of mechanical and hydraulic components to support vehicle architecture.
• Maintain mechanical assemblies, hydraulic schematics, and technical support documentation.
• Participate in the structuring, release, and maintenance of product lines' BOMs and published specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Learn product lines, attend training, and interface with customers.
• Develop and coordinate engineering deviations, change requests, and change orders.
