You will handle drainage, structural and utilities tasks and work with project managers on design criteria and project controls. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and an EIT (or progress toward it), plus hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads and GEOPAK.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; candidates without EIT may be placed in a Design Coordinator role
  • Hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads and GEOPAK-route design
  • MS Office Applications experience
  • Strong interest in railroad design
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must

  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Rail Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Local candidates preferred

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
