Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation seeks an Equipment Operator in the Rail Department to safely operate heavy machinery and rail-specific equipment for grading, excavation, material handling, and track installation. You will align rail components with the crew and report equipment status daily.

Requirements include 3–5 years of operator experience in heavy/civil construction and OSHA 10; rail experience preferred. Benefits and a comprehensive package are offered to full-time and eligible part-time staff.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operator experience in heavy/civil construction.
• Rail experience is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy equipment safely (excavators, loaders, dozers, rail-specific gear) to support rail construction, maintenance and repair.
• Complete equipment condition reports and daily checklists for the project superintendent.
• Maintain clean cabs and perform routine lubrication and housekeeping tasks as directed.
