Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation, a nationally recognized leader in heavy civil construction, seeks an Equipment Operator in the Rail Department in Orlando, FL. You will safely operate excavators, loaders, dozers, and rail-specific machinery to support grading, excavation, and track installation.

Requirements include 3–5 years of operator experience in heavy/civil construction and OSHA 10 certification; rail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years operator experience in heavy/civil construction.
• Rail experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and procedures and promote Safety as a core value.
• Complete equipment condition reports and daily work checklists for Project Superintendent.
• Clean machines regularly; sweep cabs, clear debris, and lubricate components as scheduled.
• Know utility locations; maintain personal and crew safety on site.
• Inform Superintendent daily of fuel status to schedule fuel deliveries.
• Operate equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and rail-specific machinery.
• Assist in aligning and setting rail components with the crew.
