RailPros is seeking a Manager of Contractor & Construction in Overland Park, KS to oversee contractors performing rail infrastructure work. This role focuses on expanding service offerings, driving contractor accountability, and managing projects across freight rail, short line, and industrial sectors.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years in rail operations, with strong skills in coordination, safety, and project leadership. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Expert in the field, understanding customer needs and the goals for projects to enhance service/safety
• Applying logical thought processes and organizing resources to solve issues
• Proficient in coordinating with contractors and rail managers

Responsibilities

• Provide constructability reviews and develop construction phasing from the railroads’ perspective
• Communicate effectively with contractors and railroad managers
• Read and understand construction and phasing plans
• Develop capital and maintenance work projects to reduce risks
• Prepare daily and weekly reports as required
