Qualifications

• Able to meet the above travel requirements.
• Ability to read.

Responsibilities

• Communication responsibilities including obtaining, receiving, and acting on information through various devices, monitoring and reporting daily work, climbing on/off equipment, and handling air hoses and railcar knuckles.
• Switching functions involve operating track switches and derails to change train routing and checking switch points for alignment.
• Train and equipment inspections include switching/spotting cars, determining train makeup, and reporting conditions per regulations.
• Daily work is conducted in a safety sensitive environment with extreme weather, uneven surfaces, loud noises, fumes, and heavy machinery.
