Job summary

PPG Protective & Marine Coatings (PMC) seeks a Rail Application Specialist to assist with product applications at customer sites, provide painter training, and support product complaint investigations. The role involves independent work within the Rail team and reporting to the Rail Regional Sales Manager.

Frequent travel will be required to cover projects across North America, with emphasis on South Texas and surrounding regions. AMPP CIP Level 1 training is available to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years practical railcar interior and/or exterior coating application experience.
• Prior experience with railcar interior and/or exterior coating inspections.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide product application assistance at customer sites.
• Conduct painter training; hands-on application techniques, repair methods, best practices, etc.
