Job summary

PPG Protective & Marine Coatings (PMC) seeks a Rail Application Specialist to assist with product applications, provide painter training, and support investigations for rail customers. You will work independently and with the rail team, reporting to the Rail Regional Sales Manager. Frequent travel across North America is required.

AMPP CIP Level 1 training is available if not certified. Remote work is possible for suitable candidates, with benefits discussed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practical railcar interior and/or exterior coating experience.
• Ability to create written reports and maintain complex spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Provide product application assistance at customer sites.
• Conduct painter training and hands-on application techniques.
• Assist with product complaints using defined test protocols and report results.
• Complete written reports of rail coating applications and investigations.
• Perform new product application testing and hands-on application testing.
• Observe safety procedures and site rules on all work programs.
