Job summary

The LiRo Group is seeking an Estimator to provide estimating services for rail and civil construction projects in Queens, NY. This role supports project teams, prepares cost estimates, and contributes to value engineering and client negotiations.

Minimum 5 years of cost estimating experience, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and knowledge of railroad construction practices are preferred. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project-level cost estimates.
• Maintain estimates through project stages, reflecting scope.
• Use estimating software products.
• Develop estimates for bid comparisons.
• Perform site investigations.
• Attend project and staff meetings.
• Create estimates for value engineering reviews.
• Support client in negotiations with contractors and engineers.
