Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficient use of measuring devices and shop tools; basic quantitative methods knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assemble freight or locomotive valves or brake pistons.
• Learn and follow testing processes.
• Identify serviceable parts during assembly.
• Follow procedural guidelines during assembly.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment such as lapping.
• Use calibrated gauges and torqueing devices correctly.
• Perform hazardous waste management duties per requirements.
• Comply with Quality, Product Safety and Health/Safety/Environmental policies; adhere to KPI goals.
