Job summary

Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Production Assembly Lead – Rail to coordinate and optimize the assembly of rail products, align schedules with production plans, and drive quality. You will mentor team members, resolve workflow issues, and support RMR processes to maintain compliance and performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, troubleshooting electrical components, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP environments (e.g. Syteline) required.
  • Proven experience in production assembly or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and training capabilities.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and RMR procedures.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Production Coordination: Ensure timely processing of parts through designated departments in alignment with schedules and part availability.
  • Workflow & Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve issues while maintaining workflow and minimizing disruptions.
  • Metrics & KPI Reporting: Monitor and report on line performance across safety, quality, and delivery metrics; maintain visibility of jobs required to ship versus jobs completed.
  • Team Support & Development: Assist in training, mentoring, and supporting team members in understanding assembly procedures, technologies, and best practices.
  • RMR Process Support: Provide hands-on assistance with Return Material Review (RMR) processes, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Adjust, repair, or replace electrical and electronic components to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Assembly & Alignment: Position, align, or adjust workpieces and electrical parts to facilitate accurate wiring and assembly.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Explain and demonstrate assembly procedures or techniques to team members to promote consistency and skill development.
  • Testing & Validation: Perform functional test procedures as required to validate product integrity and performance.
  • Documentation & Interpretation: Read and interpret bills of materials and technical drawings to guide assembly and setup processes.
  • Tool & Equipment Setup: Perform set-ups using basic tools, jigs, and test equipment, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
  • Protocol Review: Assess equipment protocols during setup with attention to complexity and compliance requirements.
  • Other job duties as required.
