Job summary

Nakupuna Companies seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions in AWS for the DPAA. You will collaborate with AI/ML teams, interact with customers, and drive production deployments using Python, React, and AWS AI/ML services.

Role requires DoD familiarity, 3+ years in cloud ops, and strong communication. Must be U.S. citizen with required clearances; on-site in Honolulu, HI three days a week with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience including systems administration and cloud operations.
• Experience supporting DoD IT environments preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to design, develop, and evaluate generative AI solutions.
• Engage with customers to understand problems and implement AI solutions.
• Guide adoption strategies and production deployment pathways.
• Document best practices, tutorials, and sample code for varied audiences.
• Develop data pipelines, vectorization methods, and API integrations using Python.
• Contribute to AI-enabled full-stack web projects (Python/React).
• Utilize AWS AI/ML services for model development and orchestration.
• Maintain SOPs and technical documentation; support Agile ceremonies.
