Job summary

SWAT Environmental is seeking candidates within 15 miles of Longmont, CO 80501 for hands-on radon mitigation installer roles. Company van provided, paid training & certification, and advancement opportunities within a nationwide team.

Inspect homes to determine optimal placement of radon mitigation systems and install components by drilling, cutting, running PVC, and sealing around openings. Prior construction or trades experience is preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades, or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
• Work on ladders at 40 feet or higher.
• Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
• Acquire and maintain required certifications.

Job description

At SWAT Environmental, we install “ Radon Mitigation Systems ” protect homes and businesses across the nation from the harmful effects of Radon , which is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that escapes when uranium in the soil decays and can become concentrated in a home, seeping through cracks and openings in the foundation (basements). The EPA recommends that structures testing above 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter) have a Radon Mitigation System installed.

** Company Van provided to take home daily / Paid Training & Certification **

Who Qualifies?

• We are looking to give “ paid ” training & certification to those with hands-on experience in the following fields: (such as a Maintenance Techs, Plumbers/Pipe Fitters, Construction & Day Laborers, Roofers, HVAC Techs, Electricians, Carpenters, Handyman, Journeyman, Apprentices, Pest Control, Remodelers, Framers, Concrete/Brick Layers, Cell Tower Techs , etc.) who are looking for a career that enhances your skill sets. Required Skills/Abilities:

• 1+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades, or apprenticeship is preferred. ( different for Iowa postings )
• Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
• Work on ladders at 40 feet or higher.
• Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Operate drill, hole-saw, coring drills, and other hand tools safely.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications.
