Job Overview

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist for a short‑term weekend role. The responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, educating patients and families on procedures and radiation safety, advocating for patients, preparing them for exams, performing examinations with technical precision, and evaluating image quality while maintaining patient safety with department equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitoring.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and radiation safety.
  • Act as a patient advocate for a diverse patient population.
  • Prepare patients for procedures.
  • Perform exams with technical precision.
  • Evaluate images for quality.
  • Operate department equipment with proficiency while ensuring patient safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited imaging program preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of Indiana as a Radiology Technologist and certified as a Radiology Technologist with the ARRT.
  • If not licensed and certified upon hire, must obtain within six months of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to independently manage time and priorities.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Ability to use patient care skills to provide an exceptional experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique.
  • Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
