Job summary

Prime Occupational Medicine is seeking a skilled X-ray technician to provide high-quality imaging in a patient-centered environment. You will assist as a medical assistant when imaging is slow and may work across PRIME clinic locations.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and maintaining equipment and records with strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA standards. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a city, state or federal license/certification.
• Proven experience as an X-ray technician.

Responsibilities

• Verify client identity and review orders before imaging.
• Provide verbal and/or written instruction.
• Position patients for radiographs, assisting with mobility as needed.
• Adjust imaging equipment to the required position.
• Ensure x-rays are of sound quality to avoid repeats.
• Explain procedures and monitor patient comfort and safety.
• Minimize radiation exposure for patient and staff.
• Follow shielding and safety procedures.
• Maintain radiology supplies and place orders as needed.
• Notify management of damaged equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed x-ray procedures.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Log into radiology site and label exams correctly.
• Match reports with charts and file appropriately.
• End-of-day log reconciliation with Synapse.
• Clean and wipe equipment and films.
• May work at other PRIME clinics and locations.
