Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Nationwide ARRT certification within specified timeframe by location.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs image procedures based on patient status, service request, and imaging protocols.
• Produces diagnostic images of optimal quality using imaging equipment and systems.
• Select exposure factors based on patient size and condition to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to self and others through shielding, collimation and proper technique.
• Maintains knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to imaging and patient safety.
• Educates patients regarding radiographic procedures and answers questions.
• Promotes teamwork across radiology staff and other departments.
• Ensures imaging workflow, documentation and equipment maintenance are completed as required.
