Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures and support administrative duties. The role involves patient registration, comfort, and collaboration with physicians and radiologists.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT-registered or board eligible, licensed per state regulations, and capable of handling imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and accurate results.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered or board eligible per state requirements.
• Licensed per state regulation.
• In some states, MA certification or registry, Practical Nursing, EMT or Paramedic acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures with compassion.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process and review images for identification and quality.
• Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment per policies.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments as needed.
• Maintain equipment with routine checks and arrange repairs.
• Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
