Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. You will also help with patient registration and medical assisting duties as needed.

You will greet patients, position them for procedures, practice ALARA radiation protection, process images for physician reading, and support imaging workflows across digital and non-digital equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred; state licensing required.
• In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures.
• Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images and prepare for physician reading; assist radiologist overreads.
• Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment in compliance with policies.
• Aid provider with prescribed patient treatments as necessary.
• Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
