Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a transporter to move patients within the department and assist with related tasks. You will support darkroom operations, stock supplies, and assist with front office duties as needed.

The role includes answering phones, greeting patients, and retrieving records. A strong emphasis on courtesy and professional communication is required, with on-site duties at our Los Angeles facility.

Qualifications

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Performs darkroom duties, orders supplies, stocks and dresses patients and handles some front office duties.
• Provides clerical support by answering phones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
• Retrieves patient records and files reports; demonstrates polite telephone etiquette.
• Operates PACS and office equipment, and runs errands throughout the facility.
