Job summary

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification required within six months of hire.
Six months hospital patient transport experience preferred.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

Verify patient identity and transport to radiology using wheelchair, bed, or gurney.
Transport patients to and from radiology, ED and inpatient areas.
Assist patients with transfers in and out of bed and positioning.
Assist technologists with patient movement and positioning.
Monitor patient condition and report unusual occurrences to staff.
Provide compassionate patient and family support to alleviate anxiety.
