Job summary

Proliance Surgeons is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures and support patient care across the Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle clinic. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

The role requires WA state radiologic technologist certification, at least 3 years of radiology experience, and BCLS completion within 90 days. The position is on-site with travel between offices as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its Equivalent.
  • Current WA State Radiologic Technologist (WSRT) certification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical radiology experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of radiology equipment and perform radiologic examinations.
  • Operate radiologic and PACS equipment and ensure proper patient positioning.
  • Calculate exposure factors and apply radiation protection principles.
  • Document procedures and coordinate image printing and storage.
  • Assist with patient care before and after procedures and maintain a safe environment.

Position Summary

The Radiology Technologist is a critical part of our team of committed, self-motivated people who provide critical services to promote and maintain our service, care, and our values.

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for the imaging procedures according to Care Center or Ambulatory Surgery Center needs. The Radiology Technologist assists with the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Leadership Team. The Radiology Technologist performs duties according to scope of practice designated by the position description, key duties, and responsibilities and under the direction of the designated Clinical Leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Radiology Technologist include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining knowledge of radiation equipment, including the routine maintenance and care of equipment
  • Perform radiologic examinations following Care Center and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center protocols
  • Operating radiologic and PACS equipment
  • Proper patient positioning
  • Calculating exposure factors and applying principles of radiation protection
  • Caring for patient needs during examinations
  • Evaluates procedure room and imaging equipment for technical quality and stores images according to policy and guidelines
  • Knows and practices the principles and procedures of sterile technique if working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting
  • Maintains documentation, reports, and files in the Electronic Medical Record or paper chart, as directed
  • Coordinate printing images, copying films, pulling images for surgery
  • Calculates and regulates equipment using established technique, knowledge, and skill
  • Assists patients with pre and post procedures according to facility policy and established guidelines
  • Assists with housekeeping tasks as necessary to provide a safe environment for patients, team members, physicians, guests
  • Assist other personnel as directed by Leadership Team
  • Completes other duties as assigned
  • Follows all policies as introduced during new associate On-Boarding, updated real-time and outlined in Associate Handbook
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or its Equivalent
  • Current WA State Radiologic Technologist (WSRT) certification
  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical radiology experience preferred
  • Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current BCLS certification
