Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic x-ray imaging and support patient care. The role requires proper shielding and adherence to safety protocols while collaborating with radiology staff.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, obtaining patient history, ensuring accurate RIS/PACS data, and maintaining equipment and records. ARRT certification and BLS are required with state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or ARRT registries in Radiology Technology (R) and/or CT preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• State license as required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers and staff consistent with the values of Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc.
• Appropriately positions radiographic equipment to produce images with necessary detail.
• Explains radiographic procedure to patient and obtains accurate history.
• Provides staff and patient protection according to radiation safety standards.
• Implements and monitors regulations, standards and clinical protocols for radiologic imaging.
• Maintains x-ray equipment by cleaning/testing and documenting results.
• Maintains and updates patient and study information for billing and RIS/PACS accuracy.
• Performs other duties as directed by lead technologist or supervisor.
• Maintains continuing education required for licenses and position.
