Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification is required.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) is necessary.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a must.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and/or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs of patients for diagnoses and treatment.
• Ensure high-quality radiographic images are obtained.
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam.
• Prepare and position patients while maintaining modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information in MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Communicate with patients, radiologists, and care teams.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida‑licensed Radiology Technologist on a part‑time basis. You will take radiographs (x‑rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately, carefully, and with compassion. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X‑Ray Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment, including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.
• Obtain high‑quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices.
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA‑approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
