Job summary

OrthoCarolina Spine Office is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and maintain radiation safety for patients and staff. The role involves patient communication, proper positioning, and precise documentation within the radiology workflow.

The candidate should have ARRT-approved radiologic training and at least one year of orthopedic imaging experience, with CPR certification recommended. This full-time position offers benefits and working hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the ARRT and AMA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with orthopedic focus.
• Current CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in radiographic positioning as prescribed by policy.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation protection per methods.
• Logs procedures, processes charges, and related paperwork.
• Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks supplies.

This position is full time Monday–Friday (8am-5pm) schedule.The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.Essential Functions:Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department.
