Job summary

Intermountain Health in Las Vegas is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality results. Shifts run 7am–7pm, with weekend and holiday rotation.

New graduates meeting requirements are welcome and will be hired into the Limited Scope Radiographer role. Responsibilities include ensuring patient identification, image quality, radiation safety, and accurate documentation, while supporting students and staff in exam

Qualifications

Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist/Limited Scope Operator or ARRT board eligible.
BLS certification for healthcare providers.
Competency in at least one area: Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, DEXA.
ARRT certification.
Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist.

Responsibilities

Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
Provides patient education and ensures patient comfort.
Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
