Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to accurately perform diagnostic imaging under supervision. The role requires preparing patients, positioning for optimal images, and maintaining strict safety and documentation practices.

Responsibilities include assisting with fluoroscopy and related procedures, applying sterile techniques, and adhering to radiation safety standards. The position supports a patient-centered, collaborative care environment within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred and ARRT certification.
• State licensure may be preferred depending on location; BLS required at hire for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and ensure documentation is available for licensed practitioners.
• Position patients to best demonstrate the area of interest and ensure patient comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and other radiographic procedures; observe sterile technique.
• Perform required timeouts and adhere to policy.
