Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic exams and routine procedures under physician orders. The role requires ARRT registry eligibility and a completed AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program, with a preference for 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour work week and rotating weekends, offering sign-on bonus eligibility based on qualifications and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program required.
• Current ARRT registry or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams as ordered by physician.
• Performs routine exams in accordance with SOPs.
• Checks requisitions for notes and instructions.
• Consults with Radiologist or physician as necessary.
• Selects proper technical factors for each patient.
• Operates equipment as directed by exam demands.
• Maintains patient records.
• Obtains specimens and performs certain diagnostic lab tests as ordered.
