Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist (PRN) to perform routine radiographs and selected invasive imaging under a radiologist, with independence in applying prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images.

The position requires completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, Florida state license, and ARRT registration preferred; CPR/BLS; strong communication and customer service skills; familiarity with fluoroscopy and C-arm

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Florida state license through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• ARRT registration preferred; CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of diagnostic, specialty, invasive, surgical, and endoscopic imaging procedures.
• Operates fluoroscopy, C-arm, and cystoscopy systems with accurate documentation of contrast media usage.
• Independently sets technical factors to produce high-quality images.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and operation standards; troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Adapts techniques to patient and exam-specific needs; collaborates with radiologists and staff.
