Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and deliver direct patient care in a faith-based health system.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, maintaining infection control, and assisting with cross-training in advanced modalities. Requires ARRT RT credentials, BLS, and related certifications; position is PRN Day shift with facility-wide benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year radiology experience or recent graduate from accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Provide direct patient care, monitor patient condition and assist as needed.
• Maintain infection control, keep rooms stocked, and ensure equipment safety checks.
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.

Job Description: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds. Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.

Education:

Associate [Preferred] Bachelor's [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Radiologic Tech (R.T. -CERT) [Required]
