Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures and support patient safety and comfort. You will help maintain high-quality images that meet departmental standards and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR/PACS.

The role involves day-shift hours, adherence to infection control, and opportunities to cross-train into advanced modalities while working with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Must perform radiographic imaging procedures and maintain patient safety.
• Strong ability to communicate with patients and team.
• Follows infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Move and position radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely.
• Provide direct patient care within technologist scope and monitor patient condition.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and equipment is routinely cleaned and checked.
• Notify staff when inventory is low and maintain proper supplies.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
• Perform imaging with correct demographics and exam data, producing high-quality images.
• Document procedures in EMR/PACS accurately and timely.
• Assist patients during procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed and collaborate with diverse teams.

Sign On Bonus:

$3,750 for eligible applicants

Relocation Bonus:

$1,500 for eligible applicants

• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner. Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Associate [Preferred]

• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year work experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R) (ARRT)) [Required]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Florida Certified Radiologic Tech (R.T. -CERT) [Required]

$23.94 - $44.53
