Job description

Join our team as we seek skilled Radiology Technologists! The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on patient care, thrive in collaborative environments, and excel in fast-paced settings. In this role, you'll collaborate with radiologists and imaging techs to provide essential visualizations for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements: A minimum of 16 hours per month, with hours as needed, including rotating shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify all patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol during procedures. Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition. Document patient history in electronic records as required.
2. Ensure all exams within your responsibility are properly coded, tracked through RIS, networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered.
3. Perform diagnostic radiography procedures following established protocols without constant supervision.
4. Utilize complex imaging equipment for acquiring, analyzing, manipulating, and documenting image data according to protocol.
5. Interact professionally with patients and co-workers, demonstrating caring, listening, dignity, and respect. Work effectively as part of a team within the department and other departments to ensure efficient patient care.
6. Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explain procedures to alleviate fears, and solicit cooperation.
7. Graduate from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or have verification from an ARRT-approved program with a scheduled graduation date.
8. Technologists hired before graduation will be supervised by an ARRT-certified technologist until degree verification.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist; must obtain registry within 6 months of hire.
• CPR or BLS certification required, based on AHA standards, within 30 days of hire.
• Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances with renewal.
