Job Summary And Qualifications

Our imaging teams are committed, caring professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a PRN basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment, performing procedures accurately, compassionately, and respectfully.

Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Possess thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment, including surgical, portable, trauma, general, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, using appropriate lead markers, date, and time stickers where indicated.
• Select proper technical factors and techniques to accommodate patients and assist in contrast media administration when indicated.
• Prepare, transfer, and position patients, ensuring modesty and safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices.
• Document clinical information prior to exams, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and timely.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and radiologists.
• Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination, and keep the room stocked with linens and supplies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
