As a Radiology Technologist, you will:

• Receive, relay, and document verbal, facsimile, electronic, and/or telephone orders in the patient's chart as permitted by State and Institutional policies.
• Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-rays, including adjusting equipment, determining proper voltage, current, and exposure time, and selecting proper film.
• Determine technique for ionizing radiation during radiologic exams.
• Prepare barium preparations and other chemical mixtures for X-rays.
• Observe the patient and machine during procedures, report unusual occurrences, and record the patient's condition.
• Develop films in accordance with photographic techniques.
• Clean and disinfect X-ray room and equipment.
• Prepare patients for X-ray by explaining procedures, transferring, positioning, and assisting them during procedures.

Qualifications include:

• Completion of an ARRT-accredited program.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, current CPR certification, and state certifications/licensure as required.
• One year of experience in diagnostic imaging.
