Holy Family Hospital is offering a sign-on bonus of $18,000 for a full-time Radiology Technologist.

Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds. We are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We also have three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus features all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a state-of-the-art catheterization suite and the Joint Center of Excellence, recognized as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary:

Job Description:

Consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiographs using appropriate positioning, technique, and collimation.

Essential Functions:

1. Label all radiographs with appropriate right and left markers, patient's name, date of service, hospital name, and document exams performed outside the main department.
2. Wear a radiation film badge while on duty, store it properly, and change it monthly.
3. Assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures and prepare barium contrast per protocol.
4. Ensure suites are properly set up and functioning before procedures.
5. Report equipment malfunctions promptly to the Team Leader or designee.
6. Follow protocol for seeking assistance from clinical engineering for equipment issues.
7. Maintain accurate day sheets, filling in all required fields.
8. Keep assigned suites and department areas clean and organized, including prepping and restocking supplies.
9. Perform Wet Readings for nurses and physicians as directed, maintaining confidentiality and documentation standards.
10. Participate actively in new procedures and techniques, demonstrating a proactive approach.
11. Operate the Meditech ITS radiology module according to privacy standards, including charging, editing, and entering patient information.
12. Enter all patient tracking details and seek assistance when needed.
13. Complete 12 CEUs annually according to guidelines and submit documentation within 5 business days.
14. Identify patients properly before procedures by verifying name and DOB, using wristbands or cards, and obtaining verbal confirmation.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
2. Experience: Relevant experience preferred.
3. Certification/Licensure: Valid ARRT registration and Massachusetts license required. BLS certification required.
